Chandigarh airport named best in size, region, ambience

Chandigarh International AirportMOHALI: Under its services and quality awards, the Airport Council International World (ACIW) has awarded Chandigarh International Airport Limited (CHIAL) best in size and region in Asia Pacific and environment and ambience. Through its services and quality awards, ACIW acknowledges airports that deliver best customer experience.
"Chandigarh International Airport has been awarded the best airport by size and region in Asia Pacific under two to five million passenger category. Not only this, it has also been awarded the best airport which has a great environment and ambience," said an officials spokesperson.
CHIAL's building, which is a master piece, has been given the best construction award. The awesome landscape and interiors of the airport have been a major factor for winning the prestigious award under best environment and ambience by size category.
Chandigarh airport has a comfortable and spacious world-class building, which was inaugurated by Narendra Modi in September 2015.
"It's a privilege to have received this recognition. The Chandigarh International Airport will continue to make big strides in every aspect. This is just the beginning. We are all set to soar to new heights and bring exceptional developments. It's an honour for team CHIAL to work in this direction," said Suneel Dutt, chief executive officer of Chandigarh International Airport Limited.
