Ex-jathedar alleges threat, writes to Punjab, Bihar chief ministers
IP Singh | TNN | Mar 8, 2019, 10:13 ISTJALANDHAR: Alleging threat to his life from SAD president Sukhbir Badal and two others "for exposing truths about the controversial pardon to Sirsa dera chief", former Akal Takht jathedar Iqbal Singh has now written a letter to Bihar and Punjab CMs seeking more security.
He has also sent a communique to Akal Takht jathedar Harpreet Singh, stating that he would be reaching the Akal Takht on March 9, when the Sikh clergy is expected to hold a meeting, and the jathedar should also call Sukhbir, former Akal Takht jathedar Gurbachan Singh and former Takht Damdama Sahib jathedar Gurmukh Singh to question them about the pardon to the dera chief.
In his letter to Bihar and Punjab CMs, he has claimed that after he exposed the truth behind the pardon he was being targeted due to vendetta. He has alleged that he was facing threat to his life from Sukhbir, Takht Patna Sahib managing committee president Avtar Singh and committee member Kamikkar Singh.
