Mohali: 20-year-old tries to stop brawl, gets stabbed

Representative imageMOHALI: A 20-year-old youth was stabbed by his friend when he tried to stop a brawl between his three friends at Bhankharpur village near Derabassi on Thursday. The victim is undergoing treatment at Derabassi civil hospital.
According to the police, the victim has been identified as Rizwaan, resident of Zirakpur. He works as a waiter.
On Thursday, Rizwaan along with his friends, identified as Sohail, Ravi and Vikas gathered at Bhankharpur village at an event. During the event his three friends got into a scuffle and meanwhile Ravi took out a knife when Rizwaan tried to stop him. But he allegedly stabbed Rizwaan on his back.
He was taken to Derabassi civil hospital. Regarding this, a complaint was lodged with Derabassi police and cops have started investigating into the case.
