To create awareness among people asking them to participate in the pulse polio immunisation camp on Sunday and also to ensure 100% voting in the Lok Sabha elections, differently-abled persons took out a vehicle awareness rally here on Friday.
At a programme organised by Erode District Differently Abled Welfare Association and Olirum Erodu Foundation, D. Venkateswaran, vice-chairman of the foundation, flagged off the rally from Ellai Mariamman Kovil that ended at V.O.C. Park. Participants held placards that called upon parents to take their children who were less than five years to the camps and administer the vaccine.
The participants also wanted 100% voting in the elections as it decided the future of every citizen in the country. Also, they highlighted the importance of celebrating International Women’s Day.
