India vs Australia 3rd ODI Highlights: Virat Kohli scored his 41st ODI hundred but that wasn’t enough to prevent India from losing the third ODI against Australia by 32 runs on Friday. Usman Khawaja’s hundred and Aaron Finch’s 93 saw Australia put up a more than decent 313/5. In reply, India could manage only 281 in 48.2 overs.

While the Indian skipper played a fantastic knock he lacked adequate support from the other end as Australia kept the five-match series consequential going into the fourth game in Chandigarh on Sunday.

Australia win by 32 runs

That's It! All over- Kuldeep Yadav is gone for 10 and India have been bowled out for 281. Australia win by 32 runs and the series now stands at 2-1. Khawaja's 104, Finch's 93 and three wickets for each of Zampa, Cummins and Richardson helped Australia to the win.

WICKET

Out! Another wicket for Australia and this time it is Vijay Shankar who departs for 32. IND- 251/7, need 63 in 7 ovs

WICKET

BOWLED! After being smashed for back to back fours Zampa gets rid off Kohli for 123 (95 balls) Big wicket for Australia at this stage | IND- 219/6

LBW!

Jadhav is struck plumb in front off Zampa. While Kohli is looking in ominous form from one end, India keeps losing wickets from the other. IND- 174/5

Kohli in control

Virat Kohli is in total control - yet again. So far in his 55 ball innings, he has only played and missed at one delivery. The play and miss rate for this match of 10% would translate into five or six plays and misses in an innings as long as Kohli's.

Four, Four

Kohli and Kedar are really turning it on here- smashes Maxwell for back to back fours.  First one from Kohli is leg-byes next one is walloped through the covers. Meanwhile, India reach 150

FIFTY!

It's business as usual for Virat Kohli as India move on to 117/4 after 24 overs. But the question remains that will he able to take India over the line today?

Dhoni is out

OUT! Dhoni gets an inside edge back on to his stumps! Stunned silence at the stadium as the hometown hero departs for 26. IND- 86/4

Another milestone for Kohli

Fewest innings to 4000 ODI runs as captain:
63 VIRAT KOHLI
77 AB de Villiers
100 MS Dhoni
103 S Ganguly
106 S Jayasuriya

India rely on Kohli-Dhoni partnership

Shane Warne on Finch

Dhoni on fire

After Cummins silenced the stadium in Ranchi, the home crowd get their voice back with the local hero MS Dhoni getting a couple of boundaries. India are 40/3 after 10 overs.

WICKET

WICKET! Australian bowlers are on fire as Rayudu is clean bowled by Pat Cummins to become their third victim. Rayudu misreads the delivery and it take the off stump long.  India 27/3 in 6.2 overs.

OUT

OUT! A successful review as Cummins traps Rohit, who departs for 14. India in early trouble as they lose both openers and are 15/2

EARLY WICKET

Australia claim their first wicket as Maxwell takes a good catch. Shikhar Dhawan departs for 1. Virat Kohli comes out to take Dhawan's place. India are 11/1

Dhawan, Rohit open for India

Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma walk out to open the innings. India have been given a big target. IND 1/0 in 1 over vs AUS 313/5

Australia finish at 313/5 after 50 overs

Stoinis and Carrey's late surge takes Australia to 313/5 after 50 overs. At one stage, it looked like Australia would get close to 350, but India's bowlers conceded only 69 in the final ten overs. India will need to bat well to chase the stiff target

Bumrah on the charge

Another brilliant death over by the ever-dependable Jasprit Bumrah. Keeps getting the yorkers right and only seven runs came off the over. AUS- 293/5, two overs to go.

LBW

WICKET! Kuldeep Yadav gets another- this time it's Peter Handscomb who is gone for a duck. Kuldeep with two wickets off three balls in his final over. AUS- 263/5

Magic of Mahi

Run Out! MS Dhoni with a bit of magic with his gloves makes the difference yet again. Pats the ball off the gloves into the sticks to run Maxwell out. Great piece of wicket-keeping for MSD. Maxwell departs for 47. AUS- 262/3, 7 overs to go.

WICKET

GONE! Khawaja hits Shami's delivery straight to mid-wicket. He is out for a well made 113. Marsh arrives at the crease. Can India pull things back? AUS- 239/2

HUNDRED!

CENTURY! Usman Khawaja hammers his first ODI hundred in 107 balls. He proves he can be the opener Australia were looking for.

BOUNDARIES GALORE!

SIX! FOUR! FOUR! Glenn Maxwell has been unleashed and he has hammered Ravindra Jadeja all around the park. 14 runs in first three balls. Jadeja will not be feeling to good about himself at the moment.

200 up for Australia

The run rate has slowed down after Aaron Finch's fall. But Usman Khawaja and Glenn Maxwell have taken the side past 200. Promoting Maxwell up the order could prove to be a smart strategy. 34 overs gone, AUS 204/1

GONE!

WICKET! Kuldeep Yadav traps Finch in front of the wicket. India get a breakthrough at last! Aaron Finch departs for 93 as Kuldeep Yadav picks up his first wicket. Glenn Maxwell comes in at No.3 for Australia with a solid foundation set and 18.1 overs to go. AUS- 193/1

FOUR!

FOUR! Kuldeep Yadav tosses it up and Aaron Finch steps forward to hit it over the mid-on for another boundary. He crosses the 90-run mark with the shot. 30 overs gone, Australia are 186/0

SIX!

SIX! Usman Khawaja hammers Kuldeep Yadav for another biggie. Slog sweeping on fuller delivery. Right on his arc and the ball has travelled the distance. IND 176/0

FOUR!

FOUR! Usman Khawaja sliced a boundary through the covers. Follows it up with a double. And then another FOUR! Khawaja sliced it past mid-on. 150 up for Australia!

FOUR!

FOUR! Back of a length delivery and Usman Khawaja has hammered for a boundary over the midwicket. Another boundary to add to India's woes.

FOUR!~

FOUR! Shami bowls another back of a length, just outside off, and Finch rides the bounce to firmly punch. Vijay Shankar - at the cover - looks in line to stop the ball, but he misfields ... and this is another four to wide long off that won't please captain Virat Kohli.

FIFTY!

Half century for Usman Khawaja. He brings up his fifty in 56 balls. Aaron Finch is accelerating and Khawaja is now starting to slow down. But not too much.

Shami returns

Mohammed Shami, who had left the field after sustaining an injury, returns to the attack. He was struck really hard on the shins. But now he is back as India search for wickets.

HORRENDOUS FIELDING!

FOUR! Aaron Finch plays a good pull shot on a shorter delivery from Kuldeep Yadav. Rohit Sharma gets to it, but over runs a couple of steps. He tries to retrace back his steps, but failed to grab hold of the ball.

100 up for Australia

SIX! Kedar Jadhav's second ball of the second over has also been hammered for another six, this time a lot straighter than before. Effortless hitting from the Aussie skipper. Length ball, and Finch just played it straighter for the maximun.

FOUR! Finch follows it up with a four and brings up 100 for Australia!

SIX! 50 up for Aaron Finch. His 19th ODI half century, and first since the Perth Test

15 overs gone

Australia are 88/0 after 15 overs. The Indian spinners have failed to bring down the run rate and this could be a high-scoring contest. There is very little turn on offer for the bowlers.

SIX!

BANG! Kedar Jadhav comes into the attack and gets hammered for a six down the long-on. Bowled it slower and shorter, and it came right into Finch's radar, who stepped up and hit it cleanly. BALL LOST!

India sparks a discussion

Good couple of overs

Ravindra Jadeja and Vijay Shankar have given India a breather. The two have bowled a couple of good overs with no boundaries which has helped in slowing down the run rate. 14 overs gone, AUS 75/0

Vijay Shankar into the attack

The hero of the 2nd ODI Vijay Shankar is into the attack. He replaces Kuldeep Yadav. He must be brimming with confidence and... oh wait.. he has been hit for a boundary first ball. Pitched it wide and full and Khwaja just opens the face of the bat and plays the music.

India vs Australia Live Cricket Score 3rd ODI Live Streaming: Mahendra Singh Dhoni's final homecoming forms a poignant subplot of an utterly dominant Indian team's quest for an unassailable 3-0 lead in the third ODI against Australia here Friday. A 3-0 lead in the five-match series will be a perfect parting gift for Ranchi's favourite son, who, in all likelihood, will be seen wearing the India Blues for the last time at his home ground. There has been a sense of déjà vu every time Dhoni has stepped on to the field in the ongoing series. It reminded many of Tendulkar's penultimate Test series against Australia in 2013, when the cheer from the stands would amplify with each passing match. Something similar has been happening at every ground in this series, with the fans possibly beginning to realise that the legend may not be around when India next play at home.
