Manmad-Panchvati Express coaches detach from engine, passengers safe

KALYAN: A major mishap was averted after some bogies of Manmad-Panchvati Express got separated from engine after its coupling broke apart.
The incident took place at around 10am at Patripul area near Kalyan railway station on Thursday.
The train, with some bogies attached to it, stopped after the driver applied the emergency brake.
According to central railway sources no one was injured in the mishap.
Adity Joshi, a passenger said, "The driver did a good job by applying the brake after the train got seperated."
Following the incident, technical staff of railways from Kalyan have reached the spot to repair the train.
