Huawei Watch GT is launching in India next week

After listing the device on its official website recently, Huawei has teased the launch of its latest smartwatch called the Watch GT in India. Although the vendor hasn’t given the exact date, on Twitter it has posted ‘5 days to go’. That means the Huawei Watch GT should be unveiled in the country next week on March 12th. Meanwhile, the Huawei Watch GT listing is also live on the e-commerce platform, Amazon which suffices its availability soon with a ‘Notify Me’ button.  

Since the Watch GT has already been launched globally, the only piece missing from the puzzle is wearable Indian price. In Europe, the watch comes at a starting price of €199 (~Rs 17,000).

For those unaware, the Huawei Watch GT comes with a 1.39-inch AMOLED touchscreen display and a tri-GPS system that includes GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo / Beidou tracking. Moreover, the device features Truseen 3.0 heart rate monitoring, which has a self-learning algorithm to provide more insightful data, and identifies different type of exercises like running, hiking, walking, and cycling. The wearable comes pre-loaded with in-house Light OS to take care of the software side of things. The OS is said to be power-efficient and improve battery performance.

Huawei also claims that its latest wearable is capable of offering 22 hours of usage with continuous exercise tracking, GPS and health rate tracking, and always-screen on. With GPS switched off, the battery life can be stretched up to 30 days of messages and call alerts and heart-rate monitoring. Notably, the wearable gets a new dual-chipset architecture, which is power efficient – thanks to AI. Lastly, the smartwatch is water and dust resistant.
