International Women’s Day is just a few hours away and there’s plenty of ways to celebrate the special day in the city. From attending painting workshop to enrolling for bar hopping, Mumbai has plenty to offer. There is something for everyone. This Women’s Day let you be surrounded by strong women. Here’s our pick of best events, sessions and workshops in Mumbai that are a must attend.

Her Happiness Week
Seawoods Grand Central Mall is organising a series of exclusive events and workshops until March 10. The line-up includes a food styling workshop (March 8), smartphone photography workshop (March 9), makeup workshop (March 9) and Zumba workshop (March 10). Women can also enjoy complimentary services such as free consultation on body composition analysis and diet by VLCC, free makeup by Chambor, and free hair styling and nail art by Envi Salon.

Stole Painting Workshop
Stoles go well with Indian as well as Western attire. The two-hour workshop teaches you to paint a stole. You can even take home your masterpiece. No prior experience in painting or drawing is required. All the required materials will be provided by the organisers.

Women’s Day Sail
Jack & Jill Adventures is hosting an all-women sail where all the lovely ladies get a chance to take a break from responsibilities and have a me-time and commemorate the indomitable feminine spirit. Women and Theatre in the City
How have women, on and off stage, contributed to enriching and enlivening this burgeoning culture in the city and develop stagecraft to what it is today? In celebration of International Women’s Day 2019, NGMA Mumbai and Ministry of Culture, Government of India and Avid Learning present a panel discussion which will take a closer look at the Thespian history and legacy of the city with a focus of the women of theatre in Mumbai.

Attend Short Films Screenings
For a movie buff, there is no better way to celebrate Women’s Day than by watching some brilliant short films. CineShorts Film Appreciation Club is organising an evening of Indie Short Film Screenings where movie buffs meet, network, and discuss ‘Films’. Movies that will be screened are Dhyaan Jaaye… Pravachan Na Jaaye, Pressure Cooker, SEAL, Grill, Malota, and TEAR.

Nightcrawlers – A curated bar hopping
A curated bar hopping event that’s exclusively for women to celebrate the different shades of womanhood. A night filled with free drinks, fun activities, laughs and fun memories. The evening will start at The Beer Café from 7 pm with a free beer, followed by Grandpa’s Den at 8 pm where women will get a free Chocolate/kamikaze shot and a special offer of 1+1 on cocktail till 8:45 pm. Moving to the next spot, The Irish House at 9:30 pm where women will get a free draught beer and 1+1 on the drinks menu. The night ends at Socials with a free shot.

FemaPalooza
