Chennai-based software products giant Zoho has acquired hiring automation startup ePoise Systems for an undisclosed amount as it looks to expand its suite of forty odd applications for customers. ET could not ascertain the value or type of deal between Zoho and the Bengaluru-based startup.
ePoise’s solution automates the multiple screening steps in the hiring process, including assessments and the video interview, making the entire process more efficient for mass recruiters.
"The combination of Zoho's global footprint and depth of product portfolio and ePoise product capability and talent will add value to our customers," said Sridhar Vembu, CEO of Zoho. “We look for whether the acquisition plays well into our existing product portfolio, and more importantly, if there is a cultural fit at a team level.”
Founded in 2013 by Sachin Agrawal and Bishan Singh, ePoise had raised $500,000 in seed funding led by Orios Venture Partners and a few other angels in 2015. The company counts startups such as Ola, BookMyShow, Delhivery among others as its customers, while on the enterprise side also sells its product to Reliance Industries and Siemens.
"We are excited about being part of Zoho. It gives us an opportunity to make an impact at scale," said Sachin Agrawal, CEO of ePoise.
