delhi Updated: Mar 07, 2019 19:39 ISTA 52-second video of a man clinging on the bonnet of a hatchback car in Ghaziabad, near Delhi, has gone viral on social media.
The incident took place on Wednesday and is reported to have been a case of road rage.
In the video, the man wearing a blue shirt and a dark coloured pair of trousers can be seen clinging on to the bonnet of the car even as the Hyundai i20 car’s driver swerves time and again in a bid to dislodge the man over quite some distance.
At one point in the video, the driver of the car swerves a little too close to a tree on the roadside in an apparent bid to brush the man off the car’s bonnet.
At another point, just before the car is stopped, the driver swerved and almost hit some people standing on the roadside before pulling away.
The man clinging to the car’s bonnet can be heard shouting both for help as well as at the driver to stop the car, but to no avail.
The car finally stops only after some men on two-wheelers, who chased him, caught up with him, with one of them stopping his bike right in front of the car with a few others hemming the car in on both the driver and the passenger’s side.
As soon as the car stops, the man clinging to the bonnet gets off amid shouts and threats and urges the driver to get out of the car.
The driver of the car was later arrested by the police and an FIR filed against him.
