Incumbents facing opposition in a couple of constituencies

Aspirants in the TDP have started to raise their voice in an attempt to make the leadership know about their electoral aspirations in several Assembly constituencies in the district.

With the party likely to finalise the candidates for 14 Assembly and two Parliamentary constituencies in a day or two, a few MLA ticket aspirants such as Zakeebullah is leaving no stone unturned to make his voice heard in Amaravati.

At a press conference, the leaders demanded that the ticket be given to a person from the minority community and not to V. Prabhakar Chowdary again. Kadiri is another Assembly constituency where the party is facing opposition to renominating Attar Chand Basha. Here, former MLA Kandikuntla Venkata Prasad is seeking ticket either to him or to another minority leader.

Paritala Sriram, son of Minister Sunitha, is seeking ticket either from Hindupur Parliamentary or Kalyandurg Assembly constituencies. MLA Hanumantaraya Chowdary is popular in the Kalyandurg constituency and is unlikely to be replaced.

Replacing N. Kishtappa in Hindupur is something the party supremo may have to think twice.
