VIJAYAWADA: The Jana Sena will celebrate its foundation day on March 14 at Rajahmundry. The party, which would be completing five years since its formation in 2014, would hold a massive public meeting in the town.
The party had initially wanted to hold the event in Vijayawada, but after consultations with the party senior leaders, Pawan Kalyan had decided to hold the celebrations at Rajahmundry.
The Jana Sena chief had constituted a 15-member committee to make arrangements for the mega event. The committee headed by Bommadevara Sridhar and closely assisted by former MLAs Akula Satyanarayana and Dommeti Venkateswarlu, Kakinada former mayor, Kavikondala Saroja, besides others drawn from across the state. The committee had already swung into action to prepare the Government Arts College grounds in the town for the mega event.
Pawan Kalyan said that the party had extended its support to the BJP and TDP in the 2014 elections and both the parties have won the elections with a record majority. Though the party could not contest the 2014 elections, the victory of the BJP and the TDP was the result of the Jana Sena, he said. Now, ahead of the 2019 general election as the party is gearing up to contest the elections, he wanted the rank and file of the party to work hard for the victory. He wanted every worker and leader of the party to work hard for the next three months to bring victory to the party and introduce new age politics in the state.
