Farrah Abraham has a new gig as a book critic — and she’s got a bone to pick with the “gin-drinking bore” Joan Didion.

Penthouse magazine announced it has hired the reality star, 27, to give her “unique” take on feminist classics in order to see how they connect to the average American woman.

First up for Abraham was Didion’s 1968 classic essay collection Slouching Towards Bethlehem, which Abraham branded “junk.”

The former Teen Mom OG star kicked off her first review by declaring herself a “devout reader” who believes “women should write their life stories because most journeys teach valuable lessons.”

She wasn’t so keen on what Didion had to teach though, as she took issue with the author’s repeated references to drug and alcohol abuse.

“If you’re looking to find out what not to do as a writer, this is a great book for you,” she writes in the scathing review. “She jumps from year to year, often for no rhyme or reason. The non-linear structure confuses me. I had to wonder, ‘Was Didion even trying when she wrote this junk?’ “

Abraham said she did not connect with the book, and instead wanted Didion to focus less on issues like John Wayne and partying, and more on things like child care costs and sexism in the workplace.

The mother of one wrapped up her review with a plug for her own 2012 memoir, My Teenage Dream Ended.

“My life story is closer to the truth of life,” she snarked.

Though the Didion review is the only one published so far, it seems Abraham has a take on a book by Sen. Kamala Harris in the pipeline.

“I had a great time reviewing your book for @Penthouse & as a presidency candidate you have what it takes to not abuse power, help those who should not be in jail, focus on safety, budgets,” Abraham tweeted. “Proud of the woman you have become it was great to read about your mother.”

Abraham’s latest gig comes amid some legal problems, including a lawsuit filed in December by promoter Damon Feldman after she bailed on fighting in a celebrity boxing match.

“All are false and was never served — all forged,” Abraham told PEOPLE in January. “This is not news.”
