Dubbing Congress president Rahul Gandhi’s attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the Rafale deal as an attempt to shift focus due to people’s “revulsion” against the party, finance minister Arun Jaitley on Thursday asserted that the main opposition had run out of arguments.
“Every falsehood Congress and Rahul Gandhi have spoken on the Rafale issue has been exposed and no dynast can claim that he is above the Supreme Court and the CAG,” Jaitley said, and called the leader a “serial liar”.
About Rahul’s press conference on Thursday morning, Jaitley said, “Words were very few, facts were completely wrong and motivation was also collateral.” He claimed facts which had emerged on the matter so far “proved” that Congress and its leader had spoken “lies” on every issue.
