'I was the one that left the marriage': Cameron Daddo admits to cheating on longtime wife Alison Brahe and blames alcohol for his infidelity
Cameron Daddo has admitted to cheating on his wife of almost 30 years, Alison Brahe.
The actor, 53, made the surprising confession in a blog post for daddy website, The Father Hood.
'I was the one that left the marriage,' he admitted, citing alcohol and his work schedule as the main reasons behind his infidelity.

'When I acted out in that way, I didn’t really want to be there,' he continued.
'There were reasons how I got into that place. And a lot of it was alcohol and being alone, feeling really lonely and being literally oceans away from my partner.'

The star said that he and Alison both received counselling to repair their marriage, and that the experience ultimately became something that they could grow from.
Cameron didn't specify when the infidelity took place, but it's implied that it happened years ago and not recently.

The couple married in 1991 and have three children together.
In 2017, the pair discussed the financial struggles they experienced in the mid-2000s, when Cameron was working on his acting career in Los Angeles.
In an interview with Stellar magazine, Alison revealed that their friends were leaving groceries on his doorstep just so he could feed her and their three children.

At one point, Cameron thought he'd made it after he landed a role in David Lynch's Inland Empire, only to find out that the role paid just $500 in total.
'It looks great on the résumé,' he confessed. 'But that's the going rate for those low-budget projects. The father part of me just went, "I've got to get cash".'
Luckily, the father-of-three is back on top these days.
Now living in Australia with the wife and kids, Cameron is busy as the host of his nightly Smooth FM radio show, Mellow Music.
