Redeem Tlang's goal separates the two sides at the end of the first 45 minutes. The only bad news for the home side in the first half was Bartholomew Ogbeche's injury as he won't be able to further participate in the contest.

Huge blow to NorthEast

A huge blow to NorthEast as Bartholomew Ogbeche is forced to leave the pitch after picking up an injury. Juan Mascia is introduced in place for Ogbeche as the Nigerian hands over the captain's armband to Robert Lalthlamuana.

The referee goes to his pocket and books Miku for his sliding challenge on Jose Leudo from behind. First booking of the match 

NorthEast United in control

NorthEast United are enjoying the ball possession as they are tossing the ball comfortably around the park.  On the other hand, it has so far been a quite show from the front three of Bengaluru FC as they are struggling to find open space.

Pawan Kumar makes a strong save after NorthEast defenders fail to clear the ball away from danger. Dimas Delgado takes an attempt from outside the box but he is denied by the keeper, who makes a diving save towards his right to prevent NorthEast from finding the equaliser.

Redeem Tlang breaks the deadlock as NorthEast United go 1-0 up in the 20th minute. No chance for Gurpreet as Tlang curls the ball into the far corner of the post.

NorthEast United are picking up momentum

With the crowd rooting for the home side in large numbers, NorthEast United are picking up the momentum. An incoming ball by Federico Gallego from the right and Albert Serran gets an important touch to clear the ball away for a corner.

Another nervous moment for the Bengaluru goalie as Gurpreet charges towards the ball and punches it straight to the NorthEast player. The player tries to head the ball over the keeper but his effort is intercepted.

Redeem Tlang plays a ball towards the box from the right side only to be headed back by Rahul Bheke to the keeper. However, Gurpreet Singh fumbles but is quick to recover as he holds the ball in the second attempt.
