Sharad Pawar: Total farm loan waiver in Maharashtra if voted to power

| Mar 8, 2019, 04:41 IST
Former Union minister Sharad Pawar on Thursday promised total loan waiver to farmers in Maharashtra if the NCP-Congress alliance comes to power in the state.

He also slammed the Centre saying it did not have the courage to set up a joint parliamentary committee (JPC) to probe allegations of corruption in the Rafale deal. “When the Bofors scandal came up, the then government constituted a JPC. Now, the government should have shown courage to form the JPC. It is a matter of concern if the papers related to the deal are stolen. It shows that the government is trying to cover up,” he said.
