Dial 1950 for details of electoral rolls

Just give a call to toll-free number 1950 and you will get all the information, including details about electoral photo identity cards, polling stations, electoral officers, elections and assembly constituencies.
Four call centre representatives will answer queries related to the election from 9am to 9pm at the district contact centre (DCC), which began functioning in the collectorate on Jan 25.
The centre has received 2,161 calls till now, personal assistant to collector (elections) P Narayanan said. “Without their names in the electoral roll, people cannot cast votes in the upcoming Parliamentary election. Some people possess electoral photo identity cards, which have a different address. They cannot cast votes. So, all voters are requested to ensure that their names are in the electoral roll,” he added.
As per the directors of the Election Commission of India, the centre will also handle complaints, suggestions and receive feedback.
