Rahul to meet activists during his Goa visit today

All India Congress Committee president Rahul Gandhi will meet representatives of mining dependants and NGOs during his visit to Goa on Friday.

Gandhi is scheduled to address the party’s booth workers at the booth workers’ convention ‘Jeet ki Aur’ (Towards Victory) of the party on Friday evening at Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee indoor stadium in Taleigao.

After the meeting, he will also interact with prominent activists of the state who are fighting against coal pollution in Vasco-Mormugao area and also against the Coastal Regulation Zone Notification-2018.

As per the list prepared by the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee in coordination with the office of Rahul Gandhi, the Congress president will meet representatives of Goa Mining People’s Front, United Goans Front, Goencho Avaz, Goenchea Raponkarancho Ekvott, Goa Against Coal and the National Fish Workers’ Forum.

Gandhi is also scheduled to hold a closed-door meeting with the Congress Legislature Party and with leaders of all the frontal organisations of the party.
