Post Superannuation of J.P.Meena, Subramanyam took charge of secretary ministry of food processing in 2018. People close to her believe that she is a person dedicated to the tasks assigned to her. From state cadre to deputation in central government’s duties, she has continuously proven her skills of being highly dedicated while keeping a very low profile. Few people have very special qualities to adapt to different work scenarios without failing to do justice to the duties, Subramanyam is the same. Her influence on farmers were very much visible on textile ministry and she is now setting up standards in ministry of food processing with her dedication.
The efforts for cold chains or involvement in concepts of mega food parks, food safety and quality standards bear her stamp. Be it agro processing clusters or operation greens or the most important of all the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojna, her presence can be felt all the places making the schemes functional. Ministry of food processing industry (MoFPI) is itself a relatively new ministry with no prior standard documentation procedures making it difficult for policy makers to compare the efforts and go for required schemes. Subramnayam has also proven her ability to stand and deliver while creating new chapters of success for this relatively new ministry.
It is also a co incident that MoFPI has been handled by all women power on top, the minister the minister of state and the secretary all are women power writing new chapters of rising women power in India.
