HYDERABAD: A bouncer in a city pub stabbed his 22-year-old wife to death at his Barkas residence in Chandrayangutta on Tuesday night. Chandrayangutta police said the victim was killed by the accused, who suspected her fidelity. The couple were involved in a heated argument and in a fit of rage, he picked up a knife and stabbed her in the stomach. Later, he surrendered before police.

The accused confessed that he suspected his wife’s character and hence killed her. “The victim was chatting on phone and the accused took objection to this. A heated argument ensued and he stabbed her with knife,” a police official said. They were married a year ago.

Police said the couple used to quarrel constantly since their marriage and elders from both families counselled them to patch up. A case was registered against him under Section 302 (murder) of IPC.
