Mumbai: Wadala police arrested an accused, identified as Dalim Allaudin Shaikh, 25, who was on the wanted list of Murshidabad police station of Kolkatta police. During the investigation and a search by the Kolkata police, with the help of the mobile location, the accused was traced. Shaikh’s location was traced to Wadala’s Bangalipura.
Wadala police alerted their informers and after receiving a confirm information about the accused, police laid a trap and arrested the accused. He was working as a labour at a construction site in Antophill.
A case was registered in Kolkatta under the relevant sections for murder (302), voluntarily causing grievous hurt by means of dangerous weapons (326), attempt to murder (307), acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention (34) under the Indian Penal Code and section 25 of the Indian Arms act. Wadala police handed over the accused to the Kolkata police team. —Staff Reporter
