Says those who have shifted home can apply for change of address

Residents of Madurai district above 18 years of age can continue to submit Form 6 for inclusion of their name in the electoral roll so as to cast their votes in the ensuing Lok Sabha election, Election Officer and Madurai Collector S. Natarajan said here on Thursday.

They can submit their applications both online and offline. He also said that people who have shifted their house can apply for change of address. “We want to ensure that everyone who has shifted from the original address are registered in the new address, for which we are conducting checks in households,” he said.

Mr. Natarajan said facilities such as ramps and chairs would be provided at all polling stations to make them differently abled-friendly. “We have location-wise count of differently abled voters and will keep wheelchairs wherever necessary,” he said.
