Michael Jackson's Music Being Pulled from Radio StationsRadio stations across the world are pulling Michael Jackson’s music off of their playlists.??????The New York Times reported stations in both New Zealand and Canada have stopped playing his music. ????This comes after the release of a documentary detailing allegations of child abuse against the late singer.????The HBO documentary, Leaving Neverland, features two accusers who were 10 and 7 years old when they claim Jackson engaged in sexual relationships with them. That’s according to Entertainment Tonight.??????The Times reports the two largest radio networks in New Zealand, including MediaWorks, have almost completely removed all of Jackson’s music from their station.??????MediaWorks content director, Leon Wratt said in an interview that they aren’t deciding if Jackson is guilty of pedophilia or not, instead quote, “We’re just merely trying to make sure that our radio stations are going to play the music that people want to hear.”??????Canadian media company, Cogeco, told the Canadian Press that they banned his music on 23 Quebec stations because of the movie.????Vanity Fair reported that major US radio stations have apparently not stopped playing Jackson’s music.????Hypebeast reports, the Jackson Estate is suing HBO, calling the film a “tabloid character assassination.”?? | |||||
