Digital payment company Ezetap has appointed Byas Nambisan as its new chief executive officer, after its founder CEO Abhijit Bose left to join WhatsApp as its India head.

Byas was the interim CEO at Ezetap since November 2018, while the board headed by Ashish Gupta looked for an ideal candidate.

Byas, who has been the chief financial officer at Ezetap since 2014 has been among one of the key members of the top leadership team. He had spent 20 years at Intel Corporation and had taken up the role of CFO at Intel India.

With a post graduate degree in business administration from Carnegie Mellon University Byas will be responsible for leading the company from now on.“ I am looking forward to leading the company into break even soon and also chart new territories in the global fintech narrative – both geographically and technology wise,” he said.
