Man charged over 'attempted abduction' of teenager in 2017
Police have charged a man over the alleged attempted abduction of a teenager in Mount Lawley in 2017.
Sex assault squad detectives have charged the 50-year-old man, who is currently in prison, with three offences over the alleged attack on August 18, 2017.
Police will allege about 8.40am the man attempted to abduct the 15-year-old girl who was jogging
along Clifton Crescent near the alleyway between Second and Third Avenues.
It will also be alleged he assaulted and threatened the girl before she was able to break free from him and run away.
The 50-year old man has been charged with assault with intent to commit a crime, detained another with intent and threats to kill.
He is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court on March 20.
