2019 CBSE Class 12 Accountancy exam analysis & review: Lengthy paper, students say

NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted Class 12 Accountancy exam for Commerce stream students today, i.e., Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at various centres across India.

The CBSE 12th Accountancy exam 2019 started at 10.30 AM and concluded at 1.30 PM. The total duration of the exam was three hours. The students were instructed to reach exam centers at 9.30 AM. They were given 15 minutes to read the question paper before they start writing the answers. The exam was concluded without any interruption.


The students who appeared for the CBSE 12th Accountancy exam today said that the paper was moderately difficult.

Students opined that Section A was lengthy. Most of the students found the exam average. They also said that everything was from syllabus only. Whereas, some felt shares questions were difficult.

* "She had to leave questions in between as she couldn’t waste time on one question and had to move to the next"-said Shreya student of Bal Bharati Public School.

* Harsh from Ryan International says financial statements part B was comparatively easy. Overall it was moderate but very lengthy.

* Gaurav from Bal Bharti says it was very difficult. His exam was not good.

* Vanshika says it was tough she couldn’t complete on time.


Some of the students said that they could complete the exam on time, though few questions were tricky. For some, the exam was easy and scoring. Many opined that most of the questions were high order thinking based questions. Some students even missed out on attempting a few questions as it was very lengthy


Some felt that questions were confusing as there was no clarity in the instruction. However, most of the students shared that questions were from the textbook only. Those who were thorough with the textbook were able to answer questions well.


The next exam for Commerce stream students is Business Studies which will be conducted on March 14, 2019.
