Share market update: Realty shares trade higher; Indiabulls Real Estate jumps over 6%

NEW DELHI: Realty shares were trading higher in Wednesday's afternoon session.

Shares of Indiabulls Real Estate (up 6.56 per cent) , Brigade Enterprises (up 6.23 per cent) , Sunteck Realty (up 4.72 per cent) and Unitech (up 3.57 per cent) were the top gainers in the index.

DLF (up 2.22 per cent) , Phoenix Mills (up 1.36 per cent) and Sobha (up 0.90 per cent) too were trading higher.

The Nifty Realty index was trading 1.66 per cent up at 238.85 around 12:36 pm.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 54.60 points at 11,042.05 while the BSE Sensex was up 168.48 points at 36,611.02.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 29 were trading in the green, while 20 were in the red.

Shares of ICICI Bank, Ashok Leyland, SAIL, YES Bank, Wipro, ITC, Tata Motors, SBI and BEL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
