Indore: In another case of embezzlement by a fake army officer has come to light on Tuesday when a man lodged a complaint with police in Jansunwai for being duped of Rs 1.60 lakh.
Victim Nitesh Yadav, who is a wrestler by profession, had spotted an advertisement of a car for sale on OLX website after which he contacted the accused Vikas Patel, resident of Jabalpur for the second hand car.

“The accused introduced himself as an army officer and told me that he had to rush to Kashmir following the Pulwama attack and hence was selling his car for Rs 2.10 lakh. However, the deal was finalised at Rs 1.60 lakh,” Nitesh told the police.
He said that the accused took about Rs 1.52 lakh from him through Paytm but later denied to give him the car.
“Smelling rat, I lodged a complaint with the police,” the victim said. Police have been investigating the case on the basis of number provided by the victim.
