Five accused released by Lok Adalat from Ambala jail

AMBALA: As per the orders of district and sessions judge Vikram Aggarwal, the chief judicial magistrate (CJM)-cum-secretary Danish Gupta of the district legal services authority (DLSA) on Wednesday held a Lok Adalat in Ambala Central Jail.
As per the information, 10 cases were brought forward to this Lok Adalat, of which decisions on four cases were taken after which five accused have been released from the jail.
CJM Danish Gupta informed that of the four decided cases, one was registered under Section 174 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC); two were of proclaimed offending, and one of theft.
Moreover, the Ambala DLSA informed that every first Wednesday of the month a Lok Adalat is being held at Ambala Central Jail.
DLSA informed that on March 8, 2019, a National Lok Adalat would be held at permanent Lok Adalat in Ambala for hearing the pre-litigation stage cases.
Moreover, on March 9, 2019, a National Lok Adalat would be held at all the courts of Ambala district court and Naraingarh sub-division court and any person can take benefit from this after presenting their pending cases.
DLSA urged the residents to take benefit of the Lok Adalats to be held on March 8 and 9.
