Two men with criminal antecedents were found dead with bullet injuries inside a car intercepted by the police in Jhajjar on Tuesday.
The duo was involved in several cases of robbery, attempt to murder and under Arms Act, the police said.
They have been identified as Sahil and Sachin, both from Nimli village in Charkhi Dadri district of Haryana. Inspector General of Police (Rohtak Range) Sandeep Khirwar told The Hindu that Charkhi Dadri police started chasing these criminals and came face-to-face near Majra village around 3 p.m.

“The team tried to apprehend them but there was a fire incident in which the two men died. The team contended that they did not discharge any weapon. A case will be registered,” said Mr. Khirwar.
Police sources said three persons were arrested from inside the car but Mr. Khirwar refused to comment on it.
