Kalamata boosts up its tourism promotional tactics

The municipal authority has come to a conclusion among other actions to set up promo materials like leaflets, banners, posters and flyers, to be distributed at city hall, the airport, the cruise terminal and on the beach.

 

Also, the city council has approved a stipulated budget for the digital promotion of the coastal city through an online event calendar in partnership with local businesses as well as stakeholders to feature wide array of events like music, theater, art exhibitions, and festivals, cultural, religious and sporting events.

 

Besides, the municipality is also geared up to introduce within the year a free phone app titled “Welcome to Kalamata” which will offer users with real-time news in terms of events, happenings, sites of interest, and offers, and will also have a map emphasizing key landmarks, museums, places of worship, galleries, parking spaces and bicycle lanes. At the same time, it plans to develop info points all over the town to offer travelers with information related to the spot.

 

Also, the city authority will enhance its presence on social media networks and via online media presentations as well as partaking in international tourism and travel shows.
