Former Trump White House Lawyer Calls Bob Mueller an \'American Hero\'

Former Trump White House lawyer Ty Cobb is coming to the defense of special counsel Robert Mueller.

??Saying quote, “I don’t feel the same way about Mueller.

I don’t feel the investigation is a witch hunt.” ??Cobb sat down with the ABC News podcast “The Investigation” to talk about the Russia probe and more specifically about the special counsel.

??Adding, “I think Bob Mueller is an American hero.

I think Bob Mueller is a guy that even though he came from an arguably privileged background, he has a backbone of steel.”??And as Mueller gets ready to present his findings to newly minted Attorney General Bill Barr, ??Cobb says he believes the report will spare the President from any serious political harm.

??The former White House lawyer stressed that his client was not the president but the presidency.

??Telling ABC quote, “My legal obligations were to the institution.” ??
