Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the interior of the Northern Cape, Little and Central Karoo of the Western Cape, north-western interior of the Eastern Cape and the extreme western parts of the North West, according to the South African Weather Service.

In Mpumalanga, it will be cloudy in the east with fog patches and drizzle along the escarpment. Otherwise, it will be partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers, but hot in the Lowveld.

Cloudy conditions in the east can be expected in Limpopo with fog and drizzle along the escarpment. Otherwise, it will be partly cloudy and hot with isolated thundershowers.

It will be warm in places in the east of the North West. Otherwise, it will be fine and hot, but partly cloudy in the east and central parts with isolated thundershowers spreading to the west.

The Free State will be fine and hot, but partly cloudy and warm in the east, spreading to the west with isolated thundershowers.

Cloudy patches can be expected in the west of the Northern Cape with fog patches along the coast. Otherwise, it will be fine and warm to hot but very hot in places over the interior.

It will become partly cloudy over the central and eastern parts from the afternoon with isolated thunderstorms in the extreme north and northeast.

The wind along the coast will be light to moderate southerly to south-westerly.

In the Western Cape, it will be cloudy along the south and west coast with morning mist along the west coast. Otherwise, it will be fine and warm to hot but very hot in places in the eastern interior.

It will be cloudy along the south coast from the evening.

The wind along the coast will be light and variable along the south coast in the morning, otherwise moderate to fresh south-easterly, becoming south-westerly from the afternoon.
