Chennai district collector invites ex-servicemen, JCOs for election bandobust duty

CHENNAI: Chennai district collector A Shanmuga Sundram on Tuesday said services of ex-servicemen and junior commissioned officers (JCOs) would be utilised for security related issues during the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
In a press release here, the collector said ex-servicemen and the JCOs in Chennai district, who are willing to render their services for the purpose, could report to the office of the assistant director of ex-servicemen’s welfare at Sri Nagar Colony in Saidapet.
Those who have already registered need not register again.
The ex-servicemen and JCOs performing election bandobust duty would be paid daily allowance and other allowances, the release said.
