After the successful launch of weekly options contracts on Nifty 50 from February 11, the NSE plans to launch the same on Nifty IT index from March 11. Nifty IT will have seven consecutive weekly expiry contracts (excluding the week where monthly contracts expire). On expiry of a weekly contract, exchange will introduce next weekly contracts on a rolling basis. Bank Nifty weekly options are currently a great hit among the investors. The NSE recently also launched weekly derivatives contracts on USD-INR.
