Now, jewellery shop burgled in Nigohan

LUCKNOW: Two days after the sensational loot and murders in a jewellery shop in Krishnanagar, a jewellery shop was targeted in Nigohan and Rs 56,000 cash and jewellery worth 30 lakh was stolen.
According to the police, the incident occurred on Sunday night as burglars sneaked into the shop after breaching the back wall.
SHO Nigoha Jagdish Pandey said the incident came to light when locals informed shop owner Neeraj Soni about a hole in the wall.
Soni saw valuables strewn and cash and jewellery missing.
Pandey said a miscreant was visible in CCTV footage committing the burglary.
"Investigation is on and the burglar would be nabbed very soon," he added.
Meanwhile, a garments shop was targeted by robbers on Monday in Krishnanagar. Burglars made away with Rs 12,000 cash from the shop of Govind Athwani.
CO Krishnanagar Lal Pratap Singh said they are looking for CCTV footage to nab the burglars.
FIRs have been registered under charges of theft and trespassing.
