Strictly follow the time limit per question

| Mar 5, 2019, 05:19 IST
Accountancy is one of the most scoring subjects in commerce. If the student has practised throughout the year, manages time properly while solving the paper and calculates with accuracy, then s/he can score excellent marks in the subject.
While reading the question paper, strategize whether to solve Part A or Part B first. Also try to select which questions are to be solved when options are available.

Time can be managed if you take six minutes to solve a 3-mark question, eight minutes to solve a 4-mark question and so on. Paper can be finished within the allotted three hours if one strictly follows the time limit per question.

Read the problems carefully, answer briefly and to the point. Maintain neat working notes for all the problems and do the calculations clearly so that you can backtrack the calculation later.

Make the format of journal and ledger wherever necessary and also write the narration for the journal entries. Practise missing figure problems for all the topics as they are easy to score and also save time.

If the balance sheet of the partnership problem does not tally, move on to the next problem. Revise theoretical portions for all topics. Revise features, uses, advantages, disadvantages, distinguish between for all topics.
