An exchange of fire between suspected militants and security forces began in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district late this evening.

According to AIR, the gunfight broke out during a Cordon and Search Operation at Reshi Mohalla area of Tral subdivision. Security sources said there could be two to three militants in the area.

They said there was no report of any casualties in the operation so far. Further details are awaited.
