Pune: Some excellent batting by Mayuresh and a good wicket haul by Gaurav Bhalerao helped their teams KPIT and TCS defeat respective opponents to advance further in the FLAME University Corporate Cricket T20 League 2019 being played at the FLAME University Campus in Lavale on Sunday.

In the first match, TCS defeated Persistent by 36 runs. Persistent won the toss and elected to field first. TCS put on 146 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs. Vikramjit Singh top scored for TCS with 57 runs which came in 52 balls. His knock included seven boundaries. Gaurav Singh chipped in with 37 runs in 41 balls which included three boundaries and a six.

Chasing the required target, Persistent managed to score just 110 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. thus falling short of target.

In the second match, KPIT Pune beat ATOS Pune by 71 runs. Batting first, KPIT scored 192 runs as they lost 6 wickets in 20 overs. A major contributor towards KPIT’s total was Mayuresh Likhite who scored 100 in 47 balls which included nine boundaries and seven sixes. Aloke Nagraj added 51 runs to the tally in 44 balls. In reply ATOS were all out scoring 121 runs in 19.1 overs. Harshad Tidke (33) and Mahesh Bhosale (30) scored for Atos.
