Rains accompanied by hailstorm on Monday lashed Dehradun and adjoining areas, while upper reaches of Uttarakhand experienced scattered snowfall, the Met Department said.

The areas above 3,000 meter, such as Kedarnath, Badrinath and Auli, continued to experience snowfall for the second consecutive day.

Chilly winds across the state brought the temperatures further down.

The rains lashed the hills as well as the plains of Gharwhal and Kumaon regions.

Rains are likely to continue for one more day, the Met Department added.
