Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman says 35 thousand crore rupees have been released to be disbursed under OROP for the defence personnel.

She was speaking at SHOURYA SAMMAN SAMAROH in Dehradun on Monday.

The Minister announced that three hospitals of 200 beds would be built for defence personnel.

Mrs Sitharaman also honoured the wives of martyrs. The Defense Minister said the National War Memorial in Delhi is an effort to remember the martyrs who had laid lives for the country.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, who accompanied the Defence Minister, informed that a paramilitary Directorate will be established in the state.
