Vice-chancellor of BIT Mesra M K Mishra said, “The BIT group is known for its excellence in the field of professional education and that has become possible only due to the continuous efforts of students, teachers and staff. I am committed towards the development of all our off-centres to make them centres of excellence.”
Pooja who received a Phd. in the field of management works as an assistant professor at Xavier Institute of Social Service. “My topic for the thesis was emotional intelligence and its effect on leadership in various service sectors. It involved study of emotions of employees in service sectors companies and how it affect their productivity.”
Shruti, another Phd scholar who received her degree, said, “I have done my research on the topic of impact of stress on job characteristics and attrition rate. I think multi-national companies should work on skill upgrading of their employees.”
Speaking to TOI, A N Jha, director of BIT Lalpur, said, “I am happy for the students and with our limited resources we were able to successfully bag two doctoral degrees. We have a very strict Phd programme where the external examiners are called in from abroad and the internal ones are from premier institutes like IITs, IIMs, XLRI, BHU and FMS Delhi.”
