Ujjain: Instrumentation Automation Surveillance and communication Sector Skill (IASC) organised an awareness drive across the country. The IASC organised a workshop in which civic body officials were imparted training by representatives of IASC.
Social Justice Department is trying to stop manual cleaning of septic tanks and sewers. The workshop was organised to achieve it. On this occasion IASC Representative Ruchi Jain said that it was dangerous to clean septic tanks manually so modern equipments must be used. The ravage must be shifted to proper place to keep diseases away. On this occasion workshop partner Gyan Prem Social and Development society, secretary Ashish Tiwari, Kanchan Dixit, health officer BS Mehte and other civic body staffers were present. Ruchi Jain also advised the same.
UMC swimming competition today
Ujjain Municipal Corporation will organise a swimming competition on Sunday under Atal Khel Mela. Convener of the competition Rinku Belani said that any swimmer can take part in the competition.
UMC takes action against property tax defaulters
UMC officials attached assets of property tax defaulters. On Saturday property tax officer Ramesh Raghuvanshi took action against Surbhi of Ramprasad Bhargava Marg. She had a tax due of Rs 1,40,000, the officials received a cheque for Rs 63,126; similarly Rs 2,24,000 were recovered from management of Patidar Hospital against due property tax.
