A Queensland man has died near Warwick after the car he was in crashed into a tree.

Police said the car was heading west on Warpool Road about 6.30pm on Saturday when it left the road and hit a tree at Rosenthal Heights.

A passenger in the car, a local man in his 70’s, had critical injuries and died at the scene.

The driver and another passenger suffered minor injuries.

A man in his 20s sustained arm and hand injuries and a teenage girl who had back and shoulder pain were taken to Warwick Hospital in a stable condition.

Investigations are continuing.
