A revenue employee was caught red-handed by Anti-Corruption Bureau personnel at Nadikuda mandal here on Saturday.
According to ACB officials, Mandal Revenue Inspector M. Sampath was caught while demanding and accepting a bribe of ₹ 5,000 from one Chelumulla Surender Reddy.
The accused demanded the bribe to process Kalyana Laxmi scheme application.
He was arrested by the ACB officials and shifted to Hyderabad to be produced before the Special Court for ACB Cases.
The ACB officials urged people to dial toll free No 1064 in case any government employee demands bribe to discharge their duties.
