Prime Minister Narendra Modi today sought fresh mandate to his
government in Lok Sabha election saying the government since its formation in 2014 concentrated on providing basic necessities to people and now it was the time to take India to new height of development in the 21st century in 2019 and subsequent years.

Kick starting NDA election campaign styled as “Sankalp Rally’ for upcoming Lok Sabha election to be held in April-May at historic Gandhi Maidan in the state capital, Mr Modi said that his government focused on delivering basic necessities to common people and now it was the turn of taking India to greater height of growth for making a strong, prosperous and new India in the 21st century through concerted efforts in 2019 and coming years.

All allies of NDA have laid a strong foundation for building a new India during the last five years and now it is high time to take India to new heights of development, he added.

Making an oblique reference to grand alliance of Congress and its allies, Mr Modi said had a ‘Maha- milawat’ government been formed in 2014, no bold or decisive action could have been taken and also welfare of the poor could not have been ensured.

He said leaders of ‘Maha-Milawat’ were living only for serving their selfish motives and they had no concern for the country.

“I have learnt about them from the past and the present experiences and even you (people) have been witnesses to their acts,” he added.
