BEGUSARAI/PATNA: Anger among locals was palpable at Dhyanchak village in Begusarai district after news came in that Pintu Kumar Singh, 35, a son of the soil, laid down his life while fighting with the heavily armed terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday evening.
Pintu, an inspector with the CRPF, was among the five CRPF personnel killed in the exchange of fire between the security forces and the terrorists in Kupwara district of north Jammu. “We will not remain silent anymore. The government should retaliate and avenge the killings,” said the slain cop’s neighbour Dilip Yadav.
Pintu is survived by his wife Anju and five-year-old daughter Pihu.
“We have been informed that the body will reach Begusarai on Sunday when Pintu’s mortal remains will be consigned to flames on,” said Pintu’s younger brother Mithilesh Singh, a marginal farmer
