Faculty Training School under UGC Networking Programme concludes at UIPS, PU

CHANDIGARH: The one-week long training school under UGC Networking Resource Centre in Pharmaceutical Sciences on the theme "Modern Bioanalytical Techniques for Drug Discovery" conducted by University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS), Panjab University concluded here on Saturday.


During the programme, eminent speakers? from various academic institutions and research organizations with expertise in diverse disciplines of pharmaceutical sciences together with the in-house faculty of UIPS interacted with the participants from all over the country.



Professor Usha Dutta, department of Gastroenterology, PGI, Chandigarh, shared the ethics of research with the audience, who was joined by guest of honor, Professor Saranjit Singh, Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Analysis at NIPER, SAS Nagar. Professor Karamjeet Singh, registrar, Panjab University, Chandigarh, presided over the valedictory function and emphasized UIPS as the best department of the University.


Earlier, Professor Kanwaljit Chopra, chairperson, UIPS and programme coordinator, UGC-NRC, delivered the welcome address. Professor Poonam Piplani, course coordinator, briefed about the antecedents of the week long course. Feedback from the participants was also invited.
