Vadodara: Three history-sheeters were nabbed on Sunday for breaking into a shop and a house on Waghodiya Road. Prevention of crime branch (PCB) sleuths based on a tip-off and nabbed the trio identified as Ajay alias Lalo Luhar, Sunil Devipujak and Gautam Solanki and also seized valuables worth Rs 1.2 lakh from them.

The trio admitted to targeting closed shops and houses during afternoon hours and also of stealing from a snacks shop and a residential house, both located on Waghodiya Road, in last month and in November. Police said that the thieves broke into the house of one Indravadan Shah in November last year and decamped with goods worth Rs 1.1 lakh, of which, cops managed to recover valuables worth only Rs 45,500 from them.


In the other case, the stole cigarette packets and other valuables worth Rs 15,000 besides Rs30,000 in cash from a snacks and tobacco shop belonging to one Pinkesh Kachhiya on February 25. Of this, they returned Rs 33,200 worth goods to the cops.
